Collge Champittet, a private institution of international renown, present within the educational field for over 100 years, welcomes over 800 students on two campuses in Pully and Nyon. Within this dynamic environment, both local and international, an opportunity is now available to join the college based in Pully.

Collge Champittet is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Economics through English to join us as soon as possible. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in the International Baccalaureate programme.

The successful applicant for this post will:

  • Be passionate about young people and education;
  • Hold a degree and Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent;
  • Have experience in teaching Economics;
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of the IB curriculum;
  • Be able to engage and motivate pupils;
  • Show commitment to the principle that all children can achieve beyond what they previously thought possible;
  • Skilfully use assessment for learning and match learning to individual learner needs;
  • Wish to engage in the whole school, through form tutoring, extra-curricular activity and learning outside the classroom, as well as within;
  • Seek to consistently improve his/her own practice through Continuous Professional Development;
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school;
  • Fluent in English and working knowledge of French
  • Excellent ICT skills (knowledge of integration of iPads in the curriculum would be an advantage)

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting, monitoring and supporting high levels of teaching and learning;
  • Promoting the learning priorities of the School Development Plan;
  • Working collaboratively with members of the Senior Leadership Team;
  • Providing active leadership in the continued development of technology to enhance teaching and learning.

 Collège Champittet is an co-educational private school located in Pully, the Swiss canton of Vaud. The school itself is located on the banks of Lake Geneva, close to the Olympic Museum and the centre of Lausanne. Here students can study for a Swiss Maturité, French Baccalaureate, or International Baccalaureate diploma, can follow a bilingual French/English programme, and can become fluent in German. The school teaches from kingergarten through secondary. Boarding school students are accepted from the age of 12. The school is part of Nord Anglia Education, a collection of 43 international schools located in 15 countries worldwide. Extra-curricular activities include entrepreneurship, coding, sports clubs, cultural activities such as singing and drama or language classes. The school was founded in 1903, and merged with Mont Olivet school in 2016.
