Teacher of English, Dudley

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of English to complement our already thriving English Department. You must be able to teach KS3 & 4. The desire and ability to deliver A level English would be advantageous.

Crestwood is a small, aspirational school which prides itself on its nationally recognised academic success and outstanding pastoral care. We are a forward thinking modern school. Our relentless drive for improvement and "can do" approach has recently placed us in the top 50 most improved secondary schools nationally. This, along with our most recent HMI visit, indicates that we are at least a "good" school and we are now awaiting a full Section 5 Inspection.

84% of Year 11 students left Crestwood in Summer 2013 with a minimum Grade C in English Language. Our 168 Year 11 students last year achieved an average points score of 580 which equates to 14-15 'C' grades or 10 'A*' grades. Results in 2014 will be in line with this.

Our goal however is to become an outstanding school. We set our standards very high. We offer our staff excellent support and professional development opportunities which in turn underpins the best possible education we can offer our students.
