We are seeking to appoint a temporary, full-time, teacher of English to teach in this selective Grammar School for Boys during the 2015 Spring and Summer terms. The successful candidate will be required to teach throughout the age range, including A level.

King Edward VI Aston School is one of the five King Edward VI Grammar Schools in Birmingham. The school is committed to safeguarding the well being of its students and the successful candidate will be required to undertake DBS and Prohibition checks.

King Edward VI Aston School is an academy school for boys based in Birmingham for students aged 11-18. It is a Christian school.

A selective grammar school for boys and one of the twelve schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham.  It has been part of the Aston community since 1883 and has strong links with many local schools and organisations primarily through the work of its Sports Partnership.

King Edward VI Aston School has the highest expectations of its students, not only in in terms of their academic performance, but also in terms of their commitment to extra-curricular activities be it in sport, drama, music, or wider community service.

By the age of 18 the school expects all of its students to be articulate, well-educated young men, capable of independent thought with the confidence and flexibility to face future challenges. At the school, there is a belief in the importance of offering students a broad and balanced curriculum providing opportunities for them to achieve at the very highest level.
