Teacher of English

Fearnhill School is a mixed, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form in Hertfordshire serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Letchworth Garden City has approximately 520 students on roll.

Fearnhill School was built for Hertfordshire County Council and has facilities including a music suite, drama studio, nine fully-size teaching laboratories  and good IT provision. A sports centre is also on site, complete with a gymnasium and tennis courts.

A Fearnhill student is a young person who is ready to take their place in a challenging and complex world because of their understanding of themselves and others, their knowledge and skills and their readiness to take on new challenges. Fearnhill students build a level of mutual respect between their peers and members of the school community and ensure that individuals are treated as equals, regardless of their differences. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students to get involved in and gain new skills and interests outside of the classroom, ranging from art lessons to sports clubs. From Year 7 onwards, the school introduces students to careers education, allowing for them to gain aspirations and work towards their future career goals during their education.
