Full time: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join St Andrew's College which provides education to young people in the Adolescent Service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative teacher to help develop assessment and teaching programmes in English for young people at Key Stage 3 and 4 leading to GCSE, Entry Level Certificate, and Functional Skills.

Applications are invited from qualified teachers in mainstream schools, special schools and secure adolescent settings. We are seeking someone with the motivation to develop skills in working with young people aged 13 years to 18 years old who have complex Mental Health problems and who may present challenging behaviour.

You will:

  • Provide teaching in English for young people and young adults.
  • Teach one to one and in small groups of 4 or less.

The service has been designed to meet the complex needs of young people with psychiatric, social, psychological and emotional difficulties. There is a strong emphasis placed on inter-disciplinary working and providing an integrated educational and therapeutic programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team of skilled and committed professionals and to become an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
