Job overview

Farnborough Academy is seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated teacher of English who has the ability to push the boundaries of Learning and Teaching. The ideal candidate will be able to operate within a dynamic and forward thinking team who are focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for students across the 11-16 age range.

We are happy to hear from experienced and newly qualified teachers. The important thing is that you have a passion for English. Our Ofsted report in November 2013 indicated that the school would benefit from support and since January we have been working closely with Rushcliffe School in West Bridgford, an Outstanding School. We are currently moving to academy status and will become part of the Trent Academy Group from November 2014.

These are exciting times in the development of the school and we are determined that the opportunities for our young people will be enhanced. We want people to come and work with us who share our vision of every young person recognising and achieving their potential. A passion for making a difference is essential whatever the job is. Any appointments made to Farnborough School for September onwards will be by the Trent Academy Group.

We can offer a full induction programme, excellent preparation for the next stage of your career and a wide variety of extra-curricular activities.
