About The Totteridge Academy

Located in Barnet, The Totteridge Academy is a co-educational secondary academy with a diverse community of 600 pupils and a culture of high expectations and varied opportunities. It has the potential to go through very rapid improvement. In a modern building with unrivalled access to the green spaces surrounding the school, The Totteridge Academy has exceptional capacity for future expansion.

The school is currently going through a period of transition with the support of United Learning and provides the ideal position for an ambitious and dynamic leader with vision to create an ethos of care, respect, high achievement and challenge. It is well-placed to make rapid improvement in a context of growing demand for secondary places.

The last Ofsted inspection in 2015 judged the school as Requiring Improvement, and every support will be given to the successful candidate in order to ensure the school is recognised as at least ‘good’ at the next full inspection. United Learning is committed to supporting the Principal with the expertise of Dame Sally Coates, our Director of Academies - South, as well as Education Advisors and a dedicated team of business partners.
