As Cairo's most established and most academic British international school, we serve those parents and students who are looking for an excellent education in a purposeful and productive but caring and supportive environment. The school has a strong tradition of public examination success and our pupils go on to the best regional and international universities when they leave us. We chose as our school logo the imposing figure of Thoth, the Egyptian god of learning who gave writing to the world, for a very good reason! However, I would not wish to give you the impression that we are just an examination factory. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere.


As we grew out of the needs of the local and expatriate parents in Cairo for a first-class school with a highly professional teaching staff offering a British curriculum, you will find here a strong sense of community. Although we are a truly international school with students from all over the globe, everyone is quickly made to feel part of the BISC family. We firmly believe that it is possible to give young people a rigorous education and at the same time for them to be happy!
