Teacher of Maths/Computing

1 year temporary contract(s), in the first instance

Birkbeck College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Maths and Computing from 1 January 2015. Applications are welcome from NQTs, experienced teachers or from subject specialists wishing to apply for the post.

Applications will also be considered from colleagues wishing to consider part time work in one or either of the two subject specialisms. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Birkbeck College has been placed in the top 10% of the schools nationally for its improving GCSE results by SSAT.

Applicants must be forward thinking and keen to continuously improve and develop their classroom practice. Candidates should be particularly passionate about promoting each subject disciplines and determined to develop high standards.

It is essential that the successful candidate(s) shows a willingness to work collaboratively and plan across the curriculum to meet the needs of learners. This post is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified teacher.
