Teacher of Maths, Croydon
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative subject specialist for this full time position which is available from September 2014. We are seeking to appoint an experienced practitioner to support the leadership of the Maths Department in developing its work at KS5 in our newly established Sixth Form. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of achievement at KS4 and KS5 and be able to teach across all Key Stages.
The role will primarily involve:
- Develop teaching and learning within KS 5 Maths.
- Monitor, evaluate and be accountable for student progress in KS 5 Maths ensuring that all students make progress towards, and most students achieve, at or beyond the school and National targets.
- Raise the profile of Maths within the KS 4 Curriculum to ensure that Maths recruits well and maintains a strong and successful presence at KS 5 through excellent retention from Year 12 to Year 13.
- Assist in the development of the department, in line with the overall needs of the school, with an understanding of how your subject area contributes to school priorities and to the overall education and achievement of all students.

Edenham High is a Foundation School, granted special status for Technology in 1999, the first in the Croydon area.
