Job overview

Teacher of Maths, Kirklees

North Huddersfield Trust School caters for students aged 11 to 16. Opened in 2011, we have been described by Ofsted as a 'rapidly improving school'. We are on track with our plans to become an outstanding school by 2016, and have already achieved a grading of 'good' in the areas of behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership/management.

Our school is supported by the North Huddersfield Trust; a partnership made up of local, national and international organisations from the world of education, business, sport, community and charity. Working in partnership with these organisations means that we can offer our students a vast range of opportunities to broaden their education up to and beyond the age of 16.

We aim to become the high school of first choice for local families, providing an outstanding education in a school that stands at the heart of its community.

At North Huddersfield Trust School we place great value on working together as a team for the good of the school and its students. We are seeking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and professional person to join our Maths Department.

The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to:

  • plan, prepare and deliver high quality, differentiated lessons with pace and challenge
  • build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • be an integral part of the school's plans to become outstanding.

Further details, including job description, person specification and application pack are available on the school's website at www.nhtschool.co.uk and also in hard copy by telephoning 01484 223888. Applicants must complete the school's own application form and include a covering letter (2 sides of A4 maximum) incorporating details of qualities, skills and past experience in direct relation to the role requirements.

Applications should be returned to Mr Loz Wilson, Head Teacher, at the school address or by email to lwilson@nhtschool.co.uk by 3pm on Friday 2nd May 2014.
Invitations to interview will be sent no later than close of business on Tuesday 6th May 2014.
