Situated on a spacious, leafy campus with impressive facilities, SJI International High School is an independent coeducational Catholic day school. Now in its seventh year, the school has grown steadily and enjoys an outstanding reputation for quality education in Singapore. The school follows a Southern Hemisphere academic year (January to December). The student body has grown to 890 students (aged 12 - 18) this year. We have 350 IB Diploma students in Grades 11 and 12, and academic standards are very high (2013 was another record year for our school). The average IB Diploma score for our students was 38 points in 2013, with 38% of our students achieving 40 points or more. Our A*/A pass rate at IGCSE was 69%. These results position us as probably the highest achieving international school in Singapore.

2015 will see SJI International grow to just under 1000 students. This growth, together with a significant decrease in the Pupil/Teacher Ratio, will see the teaching team expand by twelve in 2015.

Academic excellence is, however, only part of the SJI International story. The school prides itself on its holistic programme. This includes service and leadership programmes, an extensive range of co-curricular activities and an exciting outdoor education programme. Teacher of Middle School Science

With the growth of the Science faculty (in 2015 comprising 21 teachers), a need to support the work of the Coordinator of Grades 7 and 8 Science has arisen with the employment of a specialist teacher in this area. Keen to further explore and integrate child-centred learning and support the development of the curriculum, we are seeking an outstanding practitioner able to engage and challenge our high-achieving and very enthusiastic students, embedding a love of science for the future.

For all teaching posts the successful candidates will have a good first degree in their teaching specialism, a recognised teaching qualification and a proven track record as inspirational teachers. The ability to teach across the age and ability range from Grade 7 (12 year-olds) to IB Diploma level is preferred unless a middle school specialism is specifically stated. Significant training and development opportunities are available for teachers (both in-house and through external providers) and the desire to take part in and contribute to collaborative school and personal development is essential. Currently in its tenth year, the school has grown steadily and enjoys an outstanding reputation for quality education in Singapore. The school follows a Southern Hemisphere academic year (January to December). The student body numbers some 1040 students (aged 12 - 18), with 390 IB Diploma students in Grades 11 and 12. Academic standards are very high. The average IB Diploma score for our most recent cohort of students was 37.9 points (in 2017), with 42% of our students achieving 40 points or more (a record for the school). Our most recent A*/A pass rate at IGCSE was 72% (38% at A*).
