Job overview

Teacher of PE, Rotherham

'A Good school with a Good Sixth Form.' Ofsted November 2011

We are seeking to appoint an 'Outstanding' Physical Education Teacher. We are looking for you to expand our expertise and widen our curriculum options. A strength in football would be an advantage. You will have high expectations and will possess strong classroom management skills. You should be able to demonstrate your passion for the subject and in addition be able to inspire young people to participate and perform. It is essential that you are able to work as part of team in helping the school move forward towards being an outstanding faculty and school.

We would welcome applications from NQTs or experienced colleagues; we are looking for a highly qualified, enthusiastic, inspirational, outstanding teacher who has a strong commitment to extra- curricular activities. You would be expected to teacher KS3, KS4, GCSE PE, BTEC Sport, Levels 2 & 3 and there is the possibility of some teaching in our primary partner schools

This is an ideal time to join the staff at Swinton. The school had a very successful Ofsted inspection in November 2011 and for the third year running the school achieved its best results ever in 2013.

For an informal chat about the post, please ring David Pridding at the school.

Application forms can be obtained from: Janet Garfitt Personnel Manager on 01709 570586 or email jgarfitt@scslc.org.uk

Closing date: Thursday, 1st May 2014.
Interview date: Tuesday, 13th May 2014.
