Teacher of Physical Education, York
Are you excited at the prospect of working in a 5-16 through school which is a specialist setting for social and emotional difficulties? We are looking for someone who can make a difference to York's vulnerable young people.
You will be:
- someone who can raise achievement through removing barriers to learning
- someone who is ready to lead on Physical Education provision in a through school (this will mean delivering a secondary curriculum as well as supporting non-specialists in their teaching of PE with younger pupils)
- someone who knows how rewarding it is to work with young people who need a lot of extra support
The Danesgate Community is a Pupil Referral Unit and also provides education for young people with complex needs who require Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) or Enhanced Provision. Alongside our teaching we deliver an Outreach service for York's primary schools and provide leadership for York's Virtual School for Looked After Children.
