Sandy Upper School is located in the market town of Sandy in Bedfordshire. It is an Upper School (13-19) serving both the local community of Sandy and a wider area which encompasses Potton, Wrestlingworth, Everton and Sutton to the east and Beeston, Tempsford, Great Barford, Willington, Cople and Roxton to the west.

In its most recent Ofsted inspection, Sandy Upper School was judged as a Grade 2. Recent examination results are excellent and GCSE results in 2014 are the highest in Central Bedfordshire at 81% 5+ A*-C with English and Mathematics.

We are seeking to appoint an Outstanding, Enthusiastic and Innovative Teacher of Psychology & Sociology. Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates who can teach Psychology to GCSE and both Psychology & Sociology to A level, to join us at an exciting stage of development for our school. We made outstanding progress last year as stated in our recent Ofsted inspection (July 2014). We have a hardworking and committed team of specialist teachers, improving facilities which we expect to be considerably enhanced in the near future and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for students. We aim to become an outstanding school in the next 18 months. We want you to join us in the next phase of development of Psychology & Sociology in the school to help us in achieving our aim.
