We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology to join our well-qualified and energetic team delivering AS and A2 Psychology to more than 800 students. This is a thriving and successful department which was awarded grade one (outstanding) in the most recent Ofsted inspection. We follow the AQA Specification A and students are taught by two teachers, each covering different topics of the specification. Although the vacancy is for a full-time Teacher, we will consider applications from those wishing to work part-time if necessary. We are also likely to have another part-time maternity cover vacancy in the department from February 2015 so would be interested in hearing from people who are interested in that.

Values and vision

'Counting in Ones' is our motto and is the key principle which guides everything we do. Value added is good and the large majority of our students progress to higher education, many to Russell Group universities. A large number of our students each year, usually around fifty, are able to secure places at the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Pastoral support is well resourced and students also benefit from an unusual range of music, sporting and other enrichment opportunities.
