Freebrough Academy, specialising in Business, Enterprise and Engineering opened in Brotton, East Cleveland in September 2010. Our vision is to create an outstanding Academy at the heart of the community, providing learning opportunities that will motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
The Academy has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and ambitious professional to join this exciting venture in the following role. This post is required to start in September 2014.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our committed and motivated science team to contribute in our journey to outstanding.
Candidates should have knowledge and experience in teaching their subject area at both Key stage 3 and 4. The successful candidates will be ambitious, committed and passionate about the power of education to transform the lives of young people.
A retention incentive is available for the successful candidate. This is a £1000 payment at the end of the first and second years of employment with the Academy (31st August 2015 and 2016).A relocation package of up to £1000 is also available.

Freebrough Academy is a secondary Academy with 800+ students, located in the village of Brotton, a picturesque village surrounded by the beautiful green backdrop of the North York Moors National Park and the stunning Heritage Coast.
On the border between Redcar and Cleveland and North Yorkshire, the Academy is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) south-east of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, 12 miles (19 km) east of Middlesbrough and 14 miles (23 km) north-west of Whitby.
Freebrough Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school.
The Academy has embraced a period of challenge since the Ofsted inspection judgement in April 2018 and continues on its programme of school improvement. Led by a stable, effective Board of Trustees and with support from the CEO; the interim Principal and staff have made significant improvements which were acknowledged by a positive monitoring visit in September 2018.
