Teacher of Science, Kensington and Chelsea

We encourage you to read our website very carefully and familiarise yourself with our 2011 Ofsted report, our prospectus, candidate information pack and application form for the post. What will be clear to you is that you are applying to an extremely successful school and one with a decidedly clear ethos of achievement. The school falls in the 2nd percentile of achievement across all schools. We moved, in November 2012, into a brand new £80 million school. The school became an Academy in September 2013. The school is committed to developing its teachers and to fostering the development of outstanding teaching. Its approach is one of personalised staff development and action planning delivered through coaching and modelling of good practice.

Science is a key subject in the school's profile. RAISE online reports performance in Science as excellent with progress in the top 15% of the country.

There are generous resources and accommodation in the new school is stunning. All teachers have their own large, airy and beautifully equipped laboratory which benefits from a range of interactive technology. Science colleagues benefit from the participation in the Prince's Teaching Institute. Teachers' professional development is led by one of the school's Deputy Heads who is himself an outstanding science teacher.

According to ability students study triple or dual science and Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology is offered at AS and A2. Science is popular with students and all sciences thrive at AS and A2.

Deadline for receipt of applications by email is 09.00 on Thursday 24th April 2014.

Applications from all teachers of science are welcome, however, there would be A-level Physics teaching available for suitable candidates.

An application form and Science Candidate Information Pack is available from the school's website: www.hollandparkschool.co.uk/school/vacancies
