Driffield School and Sixth Form, based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, is a large and very successful rural comprehensive school committed to investing in all our staff and encouraging every student to achieve excellence. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who will be a passionate advocate for Science and insist upon the highest quality of teaching, learning and student achievement.

You will:

  • teach at both Key Stage 3 and 4 and be prepared, at an appropriate time, to take on Post-16 teaching
  • be an excellent form tutor, taking responsibility for monitoring the academic and pastoral progress of students within a vertical (Y7-Y11) tutor group.

Science achieved a good Ofsted report for teaching and standards at all levels both within and beyond the classroom. The department offers AQA Science A, Additional Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and also offers BTEC Science (year 11 only).
