Hours: 2.5 days a week

We extend a warm welcome to you at Stockport Technical School. This pioneering school is for 14-19 year olds who have a passion for applied Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and an ambition to be successful in their future careers.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and pro-active science and psychology teacher to contribute to a science department which is growing over the next four years as the school recruits to full capacity.

The school opened in September 2013, offering students the opportunity to study a specialist vocational STEM curriculum with a ground breaking approach to teaching which ensures that they develop all the necessary skills to become excellent employees in the future. Learning is personalised with a broad and balanced programme of core subjects alongside vocational options. Students are encouraged to develop their self-esteem, confidence and to value their own unique talents. Course delivery is varied with hands-on learning, and substantial input from local business.
