Danum is a popular and successful school of 1,600 pupils including a very strong Sixth Form of almost 420 students. We are on an exciting journey to excellence and are seeking staff to join us.
We are looking for an inspiring and outstanding teacher who can motivate students to develop their full potential. The successful candidate will help drive forward our agenda of continuous improvement in all fields of Science specialisms and work across the age and ability range, including Advanced Level. TLR points are available for experienced candidates who may wish to undertake a managerial/co-ordinator role within the department. The post may also be of interest to NQTs.

About Outwood Academy Danum
Outwood Academy Danum joined Outwood Grange Academies Trust in September 2016. Outwood Grange Academies Trust is nationally recognised as a high performing academy chain. The Trust currently sponsors a number of secondary and primaries and Outwood Grange Academy has been a National Training School for nine years, having been accredited as one of the country’s first teaching schools.
Following the inspection of Outwood Academy Danum on 12th and 13th April 2016 the inspection team concluded that the Academy moved from Special Measures to Requires Improvement in all areas and Good in post 16. Now, as part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust Family of Schools we are on a journey to become Outstanding.

In 2016, 48% of students achieved A*-C in both English and Maths. 2017 sees the introduction of 9-1 system rather than A*-C. As an Academy we are predicting that many students will secure a 5 or beyond in both English and Maths
