We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher to work within a successful and forward-thinking department.

The post would suit a newly qualified teacher or a teacher seeking to extend his or her range of experience. An interest in Physics would be advantageous. There will be an opportunity to teach post-16 and a leadership development opportunity exists for a suitably qualified candidate.

Science is a very popular subject, with high levels of take up for A Level courses post-16. Ringwood School successfully became an Academy on the 1st April 2011. As a National Teaching School we are able to provide high quality professional development opportunities for all staff. Ringwood School is also working closely with the National Science Centre and the University of Southampton.

A thriving 11-18 Comprehensive (1,640 on roll) we are regularly oversubscribed, situated in beautiful surroundings close to the New Forest and the Hampshire/Dorset coastline.

Ringwood School is an 11 –18, heavily oversubscribed, popular comprehensive school set in the market town of Ringwood in Hampshire. We are a large and vibrant secondary school of 1550 students and just over 200 staff. The school became an Academy in April 2011 and gained National Teaching School status in July 2011. As a Teaching School we take a very active part in teacher training and undertake outreach work to support other schools locally. Our last Ofsted inspection was March 2017 and we are currently an Ofsted ‘good’ school.  

The historic market town of Ringwood is a lively community situated close to the New Forest National Park; the Dorset World Heritage Coastline and the beaches surrounding Bournemouth. Our students come from Ringwood (we are the only secondary school in the town), from East Dorset and from the surrounding villages of the New Forest.
