Job overview

This is one of those genuinely rare and exciting opportunities to join a team of educationalists and other multi professionals who are dedicated and passionate about continuously creating and delivering on ambitious pathways for our pupils.

Our school serves the county of Oxfordshire and educates pupils with a wide range of complex needs including autism, attachment difficulty, a range of anxieties and other profound mental health issues. We work very closely with families and slowly but surely build highly effective alliances that support the pupils through their education.

We are looking for someone to join our school, to complement our work in creating the best possible life chances for our pupils. You do not have to have special school teaching experience, but a strong sense that 'all is possible in education', even if some pupils' have a diagnosis.

What is required is that you have an excellent grasp of teaching science to GCSE level across all strands, a desire and resilience to deliver enjoyable education and instil high expectations of our pupils. In an increasingly competitive world, good educational outcomes will support our pupils to define their futures.

If you think this is YOU, and you would like to work in a highly professional and supportive environment, we would like to hear from you.

Full support and comprehensive continuous professional development will be available to the successful candidate, enabling them to settle into this unique environment.

Only candidates who have made a visit to view our school will be considered for interview.

For further details about our school please access our school web site www.woodeaton.oxon.sch.uk.

To organise a visit please contact Anne Pearce, Headteacher on 01865 558722 or e-mail head.7002@woodeaton.oxon.sch.uk.

Apply online at www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/jobs or contact the school office for further details.
