Queensmead is an 'outstanding', oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school where students achieve highly and display 'exemplary behaviour' (OFSTED 2008). Queensmead School achieved 77% A*CEM and we are looking to build on this success.
We seek a positive, conscientious and assertive person to teach Science in an environment where students want to learn. The ability to teach Physics up to KS5 is essential.
You will be joining a friendly, professional and collegiate organisation that is wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for young people. This post would suit an NQT who is looking to be supported and developed, or an experienced colleague.
A comprehensive induction programme will be provided. Staff will also benefit from an iPad and free membership of the Fitness Zone at Queensmead Sports Centre.

Queensmead School strives to maintain a learning environment where students can reach their maximum potential, wherever their skills may lie. Technology is a key part of the education environment, with devices such as visualisers, iPads and Chromebooks a regular classroom feature. There is also a strong emphasis on attendance and punctuality, with these qualities seen as essential to the learning process and academic endeavour.
Queensmead offers students the chance to participate in activities such as music tuition and sports, with facilities including basketball courts, a fitness zone and access to five-a-side football pitches. International experiences offered to secondary students include language development in France, Germany and Spain, trekking excursions in Morocco, and skiing in Italy and Austria.
