The College has a specialism in Mathematics and Computing with Confucius Classroom status from the Chinese government.

The Governors of St Joseph's are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, dynamic and talented Science teacher (Physics specialist) to join a very successful and popular faculty, with results significantly above the national average. A large number of students continue their studies through Advanced level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This position is suitable for either an experienced teacher or someone new to the profession from January 2015 or earlier.
