We are seeking to appoint a permanent full-time teacher of Sociology to join our highly successful faculty.
Prendergast Ladywell School is a non-selective 11-16 comprehensive school. The college joined the Prendergast Federation in 2009 and has benefited from the strong relationships it has inside this family of schools in the London borough of Lewisham.
The school is entering an exciting phase in its development, in 2014 it achieved its best ever results, and was the most improved school in the borough of Lewisham.
Prendergast Ladywell School provides a creative and innovative curriculum, encouraging the highest standards of teaching and learning within an ethos of mutual respect and academic achievement. The school is a modern learning environment, well-resourced and appointed; it is located in Zone 3, less than 20 minutes from central London.
We are now looking for an exceptional Sociology teacher, with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated, enthusiastic team of Sociology teachers who are committed to a collaborative, creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning, and instilling in students a passion for the subject. He/she will support the Head of Department to develop the Sociology curriculum and raise attainment across all key stages.
