Job overview

Saltley School has had a strong track record of success over many years and was graded 'good' in all areas by OFSTED as recently as 2013. Sadly, governance and leadership issues have impacted on the school, leading to a drop in results in 2014 and the school being placed in special measures. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot appoint NQTs at this stage.

However, the school now has settled leadership and the process of creating an outstanding school has begun in partnership with Washwood Heath Academy.

At Saltley School we:

  • have motivated, vibrant, multi-ethnic students and staff
  • have a strong, family ethos where individuals are respected and valued
  • are creative and innovative in our approach to all aspects of school life
  • are well resourced and ICT rich
  • are committed to continuous improvement
