Job overview

We are looking to attract and appoint highly skilled primary teachers to Dalbeattie Primary School for 35 hours per week on a temporary basis.

Dalbeattie Primary School and Nursery serves the town of Dalbeattie and surrounding areas and has a current role of 316 pupils. Dalbeattie Primary is an inclusive school with high expectations. Staff within the school are encouraged to be innovative in their approaches in managing and delivering learning and teaching, creating opportunities across the school at all levels to meet the varied needs of young learners. The school has very strong community links and enjoys support from parents and community organisations. The school has established strong partnerships with cluster primary schools and Dalbeattie High school.
We are looking to recruit a a highly motivated individual to our team who can work well with others to deliver high quality learning and teaching working towards raising attainment, achievement and participation for all.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
