The Deaf and Hearing Impaired Team, Leeds City Council, is seeking to recruit two full time Teachers of the Deaf (peripatetic focus). Join us to change the lives of deaf and hearing impaired children and young people across Leeds.We are committed to improving outcomes for deaf and hearing impaired children through work with families, children, schools, nurseries and other professionals. We promote inclusion by supporting children's full and active involvement in learning and in all aspects of the curriculum.
You will raise the educational achievement of deaf and hearing impaired children by providing assessments, advice, training and direct teaching to the children and those who work with them. You will do this in collaboration and with the support of a highly skilled and enthusiastic team of specialists.
Applications are invited from qualified Teachers of the Deaf as well as other qualified teachers willing to undertake the necessary training.
