Required two teaching assistants to support students with additional needs.

You will need to be patient, resilient, have good organisational skills and be aware of the needs of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Experience of working with children who have emotional/behaviour problems would be an advantage.

The NDPLS aims to provide personalised education packages for young people with additional needs. The majority of the students are in KS4 but we also have small numbers of students in KS1-KS3. You will be required to work across a number of sites working with students in small groups who present challenging behaviour. Previous experience of working with children who have emotional/behaviour problems would be an advantage.

The NDPLS is in the process of converting to a sponsored academy and so this post will be subject to TUPE.

Further information about this post can be obtained from Vicky Skelton, Headteacher on 01271 386333.

Please visit www.devonjobs.gov.uk to download the application pack. Your completed application form should be returned to kate.murphy@devon.gov.uk.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

A DBS disclosure is required for these posts.
