Teaching Assistant

14 hours per week

The Governors of Hartpury C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Teaching Assistant to support children primarily in EYFS. This role is term time only (excluding Inset days), for 14 hours per week over the course of four mornings.

Relevant experience and qualifications are essential. The chosen candidates are required to have experience of the EYFS curriculum and assessment procedures, experience in an EYFS classroom and a good understanding/experience of teaching phonics.

In return the successful candidate will find themself among supportive staff, governors and parents in an extremely supportive school with strong links with the local community.

The post is fixed term in the first instance with a view to a permanent post being offered subject to performance. The post would involve working alongside the Class Teacher with a responsibility for the development and education process of the class by providing care and supervision skills to children including those who have special physical, emotional and educational needs.
