Teaching Assistant

13.50 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Teaching Assistant with experience, to work in a class team to start as soon as possible to support a pupil who has a statement of Special Education Needs.

Experience of supporting emotional difficulties, behaviour and learning would be desirable.

This position is temporary for the duration of the child's statement. The statement will be reviewed as part of the usual processes and therefore the number of hours may change.

Ideally, we are looking for an NVQ 3 qualified TA, but will consider applicants who are working towards NVQ 3.

The ability to work closely with the Class Teacher and Senior TA and Class TA to develop a personalised programme of learning for a child with a Statement. The ability to work independently of the Teacher to deliver the programme of work will also be a key factor in recruiting the appropriate candidate.
