Teaching Assistant

Due to the promotion within school of the existing post holders, the Head Teacher and Governors would like to appoint two Teaching Assistants (Qualified to Level 3 or above) to join our committed and enthusiastic team of staff. This support role offers enjoyment, opportunity, professional challenge and a supportive environment.

Working hours are Monday to Friday

• Post 1- Year 1 Class based, for approximately 21.5 hours per week spread over five mornings, from 8.30am - 12.15pm and three afternoons from 1.15pm - 3.15pm.
• Post 2- Year 3 class based, approximately 17.5 hours per week spread over five mornings, from 8.30am - 12.15pm.

There may be a possibility of extra hours due to lunchtime support.

The successful candidate will have:-

• Good communication skills
• The ability to maintain excellent relationships with children and staff
• Experience of working in a team
• Experience of working with children in KS1 and/or KS2
• Experience in positive behaviour management
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment and initiative
• Act as a general teaching assistant for in-class support
• Be willing to work in any class within the school
• An understanding of child protection issues and a commitment to safeguarding children
