Barlow Hall Primary School has a 39 full time place Nursery and we operate a key worker system with three key groups. We strive to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment. We have a free flow system in place to enable children to develop their skills outdoors and indoors and make meaningful links with their learning. The Nursery classroom is set within the main school and we fully engage where possible with whole school activities. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child's learning and we welcome them into Nursery several times a year.

To join our team you will need to have a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and expectations. We are also looking for someone with a strong commitment to pupil's learning as well as caring and supportive qualities. Our children's achievements are very important and the adults at Barlow Hall work with great enthusiasm to make sure that each child achieves the very best they can.

You will need to understand the urban context of our school. It can be a challenging and also a very rewarding place to work. We can offer the successful candidate an enjoyable work place with highly trained and supportive staff as well as a commitment to your own learning journey and continuing professional development.

This post is term time only, covering a maternity leave until 31/08/15 or sooner should the employee return to work from maternity leave at an earlier date. The post is 32.5 hours per week & working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Barlow Hall Primary School is located in Chorlton, Manchester. We are one of the fastest improving schools in Manchester. Our staff team have worked very hard to achieve our school's improvement and we are very proud of our children.

We currently have 280 children on roll and we operate mainly, as a one to one and a half form entry school.

Barlow Hall is a rich and diverse school community. We have wonderfully talented children from a range of different backgrounds. At Barlow Hall we work with children from the ages of three to eleven in three key stages.

Nursery and reception children (3 to 5 year olds) in our Foundation Stage. Children in Year 1 and 2 (5 to 7 year olds) in our key stage 1. Children in years 3,4,5 and 6 in our key stage 2 (7 to 11 year olds).
