Job overview

St Gabriel's RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) on a fixed term basis for 16 hours a week initially for one term to support a pupil with a statement of educational needs.

You will work in conjunction with a classroom teacher, providing support in small groups or on a one-to-one basis with the pupil.

Your duties will involve:

  • providing support for the pupil in the class, under the guidance of the teacher
  • supervision at break and lunchtimes may also be required

The post is offered on a part time basis for 5 days a week (9-12pm) term time only. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods.

Evidence of professional development, along with experience of working with children in The Foundation Phase would be an advantage.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
