Due to a member of staff leaving to pursue a career in teaching, the Governors of Cherry Tree Primary School are seeking to appoint a part-time teaching assistant who is also able to support at lunchtime as a Midday Assistant for three lunchtimes.

The details of the post are as follows:

  • Teaching Assistant (G2 SCP 3) for 5 mornings (8:45am to 12noon) to work in Class 4/Year 4. This role involves the general duties of a class Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be required to support and boost children in Literacy and Numeracy and carry out intervention programs with groups of children. Fixed term contract, until April, 2nd 2014. Previous experience of supporting children in KS2 and knowledge of the National Curriculum for this year group would be beneficial.

  • Midday Assistant (G3 SCP 6) for three lunchtimes (12 noon until 1pm, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). This role involves supervising children from Reception to Y6 during lunchtime. Duties involve supervising mealtimes, outdoor/indoor play and games.

For this combined Teaching Assistant/Midday position a first aid qualification is desirable but notessential.
