Teaching Assistant

12.5 hours per week (4 mornings)

The Governors of this happy, popular and successful school wish to appoint an enthusiastic and well motivated teaching assistant to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 class).

The main role of the post will be supporting a child with a statement in whole class, small group and on an individual basis as required by the class teacher. Experience of working in Key Stage 2 and with Special Educational Needs children is essential.

You should be able to work collaboratively and flexibly under the supervision of the class teacher and senior staff. However you should also be confident in using your own initiative.

Please state in your application your experience of working with SEN children in KS2 and your knowledge of delivering targeted programs.

Please note the timescale and reason for this position: Temporary Fixed Term from 1st December 2014 until 31st August 2016 or notification by the school of a change in statement need for the individual child or the return of the current post holder following completion of alternative duties within school, whichever event is the earlier. This post is part time 12.5hpw (4 mornings)
