Teaching Assistant

23 hours per week

The Governors of Dr Thomlinson CE Middle School invite applications for the post of Teaching Assistant to work 23 hours per week.

This post is to support children as required throughout school. Applicants should possess an NVQ Level 2 qualification in teaching assistance or equivalent and have experience of supporting pupils throughout the middle school age range.

This post is specifically to cover for a member of staff on maternity leave.

We require an able and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will be able to use their own initiative, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils. Recent school experience would be an advantage. Good standards of written and oral English and Maths skills essential.

There may also be an opportunity to carry out 5 hours per week lunchtime supervision duties for which additional payment will be made.
