NMPS is a community school of some 360 pupils and growing. We are proud to have SEAL embedded across the school.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring teaching assistant and possible lunchtime supervisor to join our team. The hours will be, Teaching Assistant 17.5 hours per week- mornings only the lunchtime supervisor role -1/2 hour each day.
We're hoping to find people with a range of skills to complement those we already have in school. We need someone who can do some (or all!) of the following:
- Work in a classroom as class teaching assistant, supporting the teacher, individual children and groups of children as requested.
- Follow specific interventions recommended by outside professionals such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dyslexia Support.
- Run interventions (planned by SENCo or teacher) for children who are struggling with maths, reading and writing.
- Support individual pupils who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition, a hearing impairment or a statement for learning difficulties.
- Help with lunchtime supervision.
The person we appoint must have good literacy and numeracy skills and experience of working with children, either in a paid or voluntary capacity. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, flexible and have the ability to work as part of a team.
Ideally the people appointed would be willing to work in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. If you have a preference please state it in your application. If you would be willing to work in any area of the school, please make sure we know that too.
