The Governing Body of Nant Celyn Primary wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a named child with additional learning needs.
The successful applicant should possess good numeracy & literacy skills, NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent and experience of working with primary aged children with additional learning needs or challenging behaviour.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Supporting children / young people who have emotional & social difficulties
- NVQ2 Teaching assistant / equivalent qualification
- Ability to support children with challenging behaviour & knowledge of appropriate management strategies
- Understanding of relevant policies/code of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
