The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £37,152 - £40,313 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Department wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow to provide teaching cover for a member of staff who will be directing a Centre for Doctoral Training. The Teaching Fellow will assist that staff member in developing an undergraduate Minor in renewable energy, and postgraduate courses for a new Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Characterisation of Materials.

This position is funded for five years in the first instance, and the start date is expected to be no later than the 21st September 2014.

For this appointment we particularly seek candidates with a background in one or more of the following: Renewable energy technology, Semiconductor devices, or Materials characterisation techniques.

Applicants should have a demonstrable track record of teaching excellence of undergraduates in the relevant areas. Research or industry experience in these areas would be seen as beneficial, as would experience with undergraduate and/or postgraduate curriculum development. A PhD or equivalent qualification in a discipline relevant to Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Physical Sciences is essential.
