We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and aspiring professional. With a relevant undergraduate Degree (QCF Level 6) you will have experience of working in the health and social care or social care sectors; together ideally with recent successful teaching experience in higher education. Experience of delivering teacher education or staff CPD would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will hold, or be willing to work towards within a reasonable time, a Certificate in Education or PGCE, and/or have Qualified Teacher Status and/or have Qualified Lecturer Teacher Status.

Within this post you will take responsibility for the organisation and delivery of curriculum, including professional networking and maintaining the good reputation of the college. You will also coordinate and work with a team of subject specialists to ensure a high quality of curriculum delivery and further develop our curriculum offer. The post holder will also oversee and assure the delivery of high quality pastoral support.

With a committed, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the work of the department and the College, you will have the ability to prioritise, meet competing deadlines and work under pressure. You will also be able to demonstrate a capability to work in a responsive way to meet or exceed the expectations of the sectors and employers we serve. A strong team player, you will ideally also be able to evidence a thorough understanding of quality processes, their operation and implementation. Experience of developing/managing curriculum delivered through eLearning would also be an advantage.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses. 

The college is situated in an environment surrounded by parks and ponds, but within a proximity of the towns of Sutton and Croydon. It is accessible from all areas of south London and its transport links also allow its students to be in the centre of London within 30 minutes.
