School Direct is a new government Initial Teacher Training Programme which allows graduates to train in local schools with an expectation of employment at the end of their qualification.

The Royal Latin School, in conjunction with the University of Buckingham,along with its secondary and primary partner schools are now recruiting graduates for places in September 2013. We welcome applicants from all ages, cultures and backgrounds.

We have placements in the following secondary schools and subjects:

Buckingham School:

• Mathematics

The Elizabeth Woodville School:

• English/Mathematics
• Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
• MFL

Princes Risborough School:

• MFL (French)

Royal Latin School:

• Psychology/R.S.

The Cottesloe School:

• Mathematics

The Warriner School:

• MFL (French, German)
• English/History

Waddesdon C of E School:

• Physics/Geography/Mathematics

6 primary placements and 1 early years placement are being offered within the following schools:

Steeple Claydon
St James and St John
Heronshaw
North Marston
Buckingham Primary

At the end of a successful year you will gain a PGCE qualification and 'expected' employment within one of our partner schools. Trainees on a School Direct course will have to pay tuition fees, but will be eligible for a tuition fee loan through Student Finance England and Bursaries.
