Job overview

We are currently recruiting for a high calibre tutor to work with Children Looked After. We are committed to closing the attainment gap.

Did you know only children who are looked after have much poorer educational outcomes in comparison to their peers.

Only 29% of them achieve 5 A*-C grade GCSEs compared to an average of 78%.

About the role 

We are looking for teachers and graduates, to re-engage and help those you will benefit the most.

Tutors are required to work closely with children looked after at their foster homes whilst they are out of school or preparing for exams.

We work with children aged 7-18 which is key stage 2 all the way through to A levels.

Tuition will take place throughout the Greater London Area and Home Counties.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to teach English, Maths or Science up to A2 level,
  • Understanding and appreciation of working with the care system,
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status),
  • At least one year experience in a mentoring role for graduates without QTS (minimum is degree level standard),
  • Competent administrative capabilities,
  • Excellent written communication and reporting,
  • Excellent Timekeeping and reliability,
