The Nuneaton Academy (11 - 19) serves over 1,000 young people in North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire. Specialising in engineering and science, we opened in 2010, replacing two former schools. We are looking for talented people at Deputy Principal and Vice Principal level to become part of a new leadership team to rapidly improve attainment and achievement for all students and to do so at a pace. One of the Vice Principal roles will focus on curriculum and standards, whilst the other will look to improve teaching and learning. There is much to do but we have a clear vision of the direction of travel and where we want to be.
The Academy is part of The Midland Academies Trust, set up by North Warwickshire & Hinckley College of Further Education. With a growing body of academies - all located in a 10 mile radius - we are in a strong position to work collaboratively and provide additional expertise to support transformation.
We are looking for leaders who can not only make a difference in the individual settings but also have the capability to play a part in Trust-wide work. With outstanding interpersonal skills and the self-assurance of leadership, our successful candidates will welcome collaboration and challenge and will seek to work with others across the Trust to maximise the benefits of localism and ultimately deliver the best education for our young people.
