Vice Principal, Cowes, Isle of Wight     

Reporting to: Principal

We need your vision, drive and determination to help create an outstanding academy on the Isle of Wight.

You will play a central role within our Strategic Leadership Team; providing vision and operational deliverance on all matters relating to curriculum, teaching & learning and day-to-day management of the college.

You will join the recently appointed principal to make the new academy innovative and ambitious and to ensure that it offers its 950 students aged 11-19 an excellent education to support their aspirations.

Cowes Enterprise College is recognised by Ofsted as being well on course to come out of special measures with the new principal and the support of sponsor Ormiston Academies Trust, which will officially lead the college as a new academy from September 2013.

OAT is a not for profit sponsor of primary and secondary academies. Ormiston academies share the Ormiston Academies Trust ethos of: ensuring every child reaches their full potential; being aspirational and committed to academic excellence and being supportive yet courageous in its approach.

About Cowes Enterprise College

Cowes Enterprise College (CEC) is a new £32 million building catering for students aged 11-19. The college started working with national academy sponsor Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) in 2013 and is aiming to become an Ormiston academy from September. The college has a business and enterprise specialism and the new site has a dynamic range of technology to support learning and provide a college environment that will stimulate and inspire our students and all who access our college.
