Werneth Primary School is seeking an ambitious, dynamic and effective leader with the ability, commitment and vision to develop the curriculum and to ensure that high standards of achievement and progress are achieved.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and creative leader to play a crucial role in moving the school towards outstanding. The successful candidate will work closely with our newly appointed Principal and Professor David Hopkins education team within the Bright Tribe Trust in shaping and implementing the vision that will take the academy to outstanding.

Werneth Primary School is an improving mixed two-form entry primary school in Werneth, Oldham.  The school became part of The Pinnacle Learning Trust in February 2019, having previously been part of the Bright Tribe Trust.  Last inspected in May 2019, and judged as Requires Improvement, the school is committed to improving at pace and has a range of co-ordinated support in place to help secure these improvements, including a strengthened Local Governing Body (LGB) and support from within and beyond the Trust, focusing on core subjects, curriculum and leadership. There are many strengths in the school and the staff team works hard for pupils and the wider community.
