An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and pro-active Coordinator to support our Widening Participation activities. The purpose of the position is to support students from under-represented groups which include urban, low income, ethnic minorities and disabled, into full and part-time study in Higher Education.
Work will include liaising with local schools and colleges to coordinate HE taster events and awareness raising activities and recruiting and training student ambassadors.
You should be educated to degree level or above and have an awareness of government policy on higher education admissions and Widening Participation. You should also have proven experience of successful project management and will also need strong IT and communication skills. An organised approach to dealing with a high volume and variety of tasks is essential.
You will be required to travel between sites and to off-site locations and may also need to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.
