Do you want to help young people learn about the world's peoples, places and environments? Are you a good writer?

The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), the UK's learned society and professional body for geography, is seeking a writer of informed, up-to-date, engaging, and curriculum-targeted education resources.

We're looking for someone who can connect school teachers and their pupils creatively with new geographical knowledge online. You will be responsible for developing and writing the Society's award-winning online educational resources, with a particular focus on Geography in the News, From the Field and the Global Learning Programme supported by the Department for International Development. Our education resources are currently accessed more than 700,000 times per year.

This is a three-year, fixed-term appointment, subject to successful completion of a four-month probationary period. The post will be salaried up to £28,000 per annum according to experience.
