Haslemere Preparatory School, known locally as ‘The Heights’ was founded in 1954 and is a thriving independent day school educating pupils from the ages of three to thirteen.   It is situated a short distance from the centre of Haslemere, a prosperous market town located in south-west Surrey.

Boys have a strong tradition of gaining places at their first choice senior school, with many gaining scholarships in a range of subject areas. The school provides a varied range of activities beyond the curriculum together with excellent sports provision and a range of opportunities in the performing and visual arts.

Central to the school’s philosophy, is to provide a boy-friendly education characterised by high quality, rigour and fun and which will instil an enthusiasm for learning and help pupils to stand out from the crowd. Within an ethos of tolerance and self respect the school aims to help pupils acquire a sense of responsibility and self-discipline and to understand the views of others and be quick to forgive.  Above all, the school wishes the boys to leave as happy, well-rounded individuals who stand out as young men of quality at their senior schools and in their future lives.
